A grand opening event for Crete Public Library is planned for Wednesday (Sept. 15), with a formal program at 1:30 p.m.
The public is invited to this event to celebrate this $7.4 million, 20,000 square-foot facility, which includes a large area for the main collection, meeting and study rooms, children's program room, technology room, and a community room with catering kitchen. The new library officially opened in January 2020, however, with the COVID-19 pandemic, a formal grand opening was postponed from April of last year.
