Volunteers needed to fill vacancies on city boards and commissions
Mayor Dave Bauer invites interested individuals to participate on city boards and commissions by filling current vacancies.
A total of 11 citizen boards and commissions are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council to advise certain city programs or departments. Select boards meet regularly, while others meet as needed. Boards have varying residency requirements, including members residing within Crete city limits or inside the city’s two-mile zoning jurisdiction. Several board positions have additional criteria.
Current board and commission vacancies include:
- Board of Adjustment
- Board of Health
- Housing Authority
- Planning Commission
- Tree Board
Interested individuals can submit a letter of interest to the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, 243 East 13th Street, Crete, NE 68333, or email the City Clerk. Questions about specific board activities can be directed to Mayor Bauer by phone 402.826.5141 or 402.826.4314, or email the Mayor.
