Park expansion project starts Sept. 18
Starting on Monday, Sept. 18, the area east of City Hall and 12th Street exit drive will be under construction for a park and playground expansion, new parking spaces, and new driveway exit.
Parking will remain available on the south side of City Hall, along with the Public Works drive-thru and night drop box, all accessible from Linden Ave. Drivers are reminded this is a one-way drive with a right-turn-only exit onto East 13th Street.
Additional parking is located on the north side of the building along 13th Street, as well as along 12th Street and Linden Ave. by City Park.
Any updates to the traffic flow around City Hall will be communicated when they are received. Drivers and pedestrians are reminded to be cautious of this construction area and stay clear of areas blocked by barricades or other project barriers and signs.
Highlights of this project include expansion of the park playground and future inclusion of ADA accessible play equipment. The one-way exit drive south to 12th Street will be rerouted around the new playground expansion and include angle parking spaces.
