Crete Police Chief Gary Young announced that AAA Nebraska generously donated winter driving emergency kits to the City of Crete Community Assistance Office’s “Preparing You for the Road” program.

A series of classes are designed to provide education to drivers who may or may not have a driver’s license and are interested in increasing their knowledge of rules of the road, traffic accident processes and traffic sign/signal identification.

“AAA Nebraska’s focus is making the roads safer for everyone. The education classes provided by the Community Assistance Office is an excellent example of a community working to help their citizens become better drivers,” Brian Ortner, Public Affairs Specialist for AAA, said.

“We are very grateful to AAA for providing the winter driving emergency kits. These will add another component of education for our community members," Marilyn Schacht, Crete’s Community Assistance Director said.
